Blue Lines Revisited: Grim Realisation

This is a maybe nice point which for me is being annihilated by style that’s screaming out “PROFOUND PAYOFF BRO” & besides I just don’t buy it, I don’t think Lantz thought for a minute, I don’t think he said “I think it’s game. I think the word for that is game” like he was in a bad comic script. I think he probably was prompted or maybe said something like that after a few seconds or maybe as a gag, etc. It doesn’t MATTER, the point the writer’s making still stands, the REST of the journalism in the piece is probably great (I skipped from p1 to p7 because it’s the web and I can, sorry) but it’s just so… NEAT and WRITERLY. Prim! I think I’ve just been on the web too long, I don’t like writing any more, I like thinking joking and mess.

Possibly my favorite moment in blogging was when I realized that a blog post isn’t formal writing, so I don’t have to “conclude.” When I run out of stuff to write, I can just stop.
